A Radical Path to Recovery: Taking American Youth to Uganda

Introduction: The Void After Rehab In the United States, we take health—specifically mental health—very seriously. The youth drug addiction epidemic is ravaging communities. While clinical rehabilitation centers are vital for detoxification, young people often leave these facilities facing a terrifying question: “What is my purpose now?” Without a reason to stay sober, relapse is tragically common.

The ELOIM Post-Recovery Program We offer a bold, unconventional solution to post-rehabilitation support. We take young people recovering from drug addiction on a self-sponsored post-recovery trip to Uganda, East Africa.

  • Hands-On Purpose: For a period of 3 months to 1 year (or more), these youth are placed on hands-on projects under our sister organization, ELOIM Uganda.
  • Broadening Horizons: Through our Volunteer Services, we encourage people to travel, discover, and explore beyond their geographical boundaries. By engaging in community outreach, environmental mitigation, or educational support in Uganda, these young Americans step outside their own struggles.

Conclusion: Healing Through Cultural Exchange We envision a world where youth overcome addiction and cultures connect. By serving others in East Africa, these young people discover themselves, renew their minds, and find a lasting, tangible purpose for their lives.
