We are living in an era of rapid global change, and our youth are navigating unprecedented challenges. Addiction and mental health crises are leaving many young people feeling lost, disconnected, and stripped of their potential. Traditional recovery programs provide the necessary foundation for sobriety, but what comes next?
At ELOI, we believe that lasting recovery requires more than just stopping a destructive habit—it requires finding a profound sense of purpose.
The Post-Recovery Volunteer Program
To help young people bridge the gap between recovery and a fulfilling life, we created a unique Post-Recovery Support initiative. We sponsor young adults recovering from drug addiction on a transformative journey to Uganda, East Africa.
- Hands-On Healing: Participants spend between 3 months to a year working on grassroots projects with our sister organization.
- Cultural Exchange: By stepping outside their geographical boundaries, these youth experience the world from a completely new perspective.
- Renewed Purpose: Serving communities in need—whether through building schools, assisting in health clinics, or supporting vulnerable children—allows these young people to rediscover their own worth and potential.
We have seen firsthand how taking the focus off one’s own struggles and placing it into serving others can permanently alter the trajectory of a young life.
